Keystone Homes purchased the vacant land south of Walmart at Unser and Ladera. The land was originally approved for a 230 apartment complex.
Keystone Homes is requesting a site plan amendment to change it from 230 apartments to 132 townhome units and an elevation change.

Our New APD NW Commander is David Saladin - APD is implementing Community Policing; There were no shootings in the NW quadrant; They are looking into implementing utilizing Radar to ticket speeders on Unser Blvd.
Crime Specialist Pete Gelabert - Ladera / Unser Area has the highest traffic accidents on the Westside.
NM Senator Harold Pope Jr District 29 - Spoke on Legislation: Legal residence of New Mexico can obtain up to a Bachelors Degree from New Mexico's Colleges/Universities and CNM free. There is no age limit.
NM Representative Antonio "Moe" Maestas District 16 - Spoke on Legislation: If you have Social Security Income up to $150,000 Jointly or $75,000 for Singles you do not need to Claim it on your NM State Tax as Income. That will give us Tax relief on State Income not Federal Income.
Our New City Councilor Louie Sanchez - Wants more transparency and accountability from Albuquerque Police Department and more resources for the Officers; Is concerned about the process of how last minute Amendments are added to the Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO) which governs building codes and policies with minimal notification and input from the Community/Neighborhoods and, on the process and a number of Amendments within the Neighborhood Association Recognition Ordinance (NARO) that sets the criteria for Neighborhoods and Coalitions to be recognized by the Cities Office of Neighborhood Coordination.

Mission
The purpose of the LNA shall be to promote a better neighborhood
and community through group action, so that the quality of life in the area
shall be in keeping with social, environmental and cultural needs and interest
of the residents. To this end, the LNA may, but is not limited to, sponsoring
cooperative planning, research, fund raising, and public education programs as
they are deemed necessary, provided they are consistent with one or more of the
purposes set out in Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code or any
applicable corresponding section of the law, and to do all acts, purposes, and
powers authorized by law for nonprofit organizations.
